The Ferguson City Council convened for the first time since Mike Brown’s death, and proved that they literally give no fucks about what the community has to say. Added to their vague, paltry proposed reforms, seems real change will have to come in Ferguson via the ballot box. I don’t care where you live folks— let this be a lesson in voting/participating in your local elections and government! #staywoke #farfromover

A friend of mine shared this post on Twitter today about something one of her friend’s witnessed in NYC last night, and I felt it was important for us to post it on here - as a way of both getting the word out and seeing if anyone has any way of helping the situation (blogging, writing an article, knowledge of a missing person, etc.) Please share if you can - there has to be something we can do to help. It is possible to get in touch with the original source - please first email it to projectunbreakable@gmail.com and we will forward it to her.

Jesus fucking Christ.

Jesus fucking Christ.

This is fucking ridiculous.

Holy shit. This had got to fucking stop.

Memories of Pinochet’s Chile

On September 11, 1973, Gen. Augusto Pinochet seized power in a U.S.-backed coup that deposed the democratically elected president, Salvador Allende, who committed suicide rather than surrender and led to 17 years of military rule.

Some 40,000 people suffered human rights abuses in Chile from 1973 to 1990. More than 3,000 were killed or forcibly disappeared, their bodies buried in unmarked graves or dumped at sea.
